The Agricultural Co-operative Federation of Thailand, Ltd. (ACFT) was registered as a legal entity in the form of a Cooperative federation under the Cooperative Act of 1968. It is a national agricultural cooperative federation within the cooperative movement, operating under the supervision of the Cooperative Promotion Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. It was originally established on 30^th May 1952, under the name “The Thailand Wholesale Cooperative Limited.” On 22^nd August 1972, it changed its name to “The Thailand Cooperative Purchasing and Sales Federation Limited” and later registered a change in its regulations and name to ” The Agricultural Co-operative Federation of Thailand, Ltd. (ACFT)” on 1^st October 1975. It has been known by the abbreviation “ACFT” ever since. As a genuine agricultural institution, ACFT currently includes 77 provincial agricultural cooperative federations, approximately 3,900 agricultural cooperatives, and more than 6.00 million farming households. Currently, The Agricultural Co-operative Federation of Thailand, Ltd. (ACFT) has been operating for over 71 years, providing services to agricultural cooperatives across the country.
