Structure of The Agricultural Co-operative Federation of Thailand, Ltd. (ACFT)

The Agricultural Co-operative Federation of Thailand, Ltd. (ACFT) was registered as a legal entity in the form of a Cooperative federation under the Cooperative Act of 1968. It is a national agricultural cooperative federation within the cooperative movement, operating under the supervision of the Cooperative Promotion Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. It was originally established on 30th May 1952, under the name “The Thailand Wholesale Cooperative Limited.” On 22nd August 1972, it changed its name to “The Thailand Cooperative Purchasing and Sales Federation Limited” and later registered a change in its regulations and name to ” The Agricultural Co-operative Federation of Thailand, Ltd. (ACFT)” on 1st October 1975. It has been known by the abbreviation “ACFT” ever since. As a genuine agricultural institution, ACFT currently includes 77 provincial agricultural cooperative federations, approximately 3,900 agricultural cooperatives, and more than 6.00 million farming households. Currently, The Agricultural Co-operative Federation of Thailand, Ltd. (ACFT) has been operating for over 71 years, providing services to agricultural cooperatives across the country.
