These services include promoting production, using production inputs, marketing, knowledge sharing, and welfare to achieve economic and social outcomes.
1st-6th Decades: Pioneering and Strengthening the Foundation Agricultural Cooperatives
The Agricultural Co-operative Federation of Thailand, Ltd. (ACFT) was established and officially registered as the Cooperative Wholesale of Thailand, Ltd., on 30th May 1952. On 4th February 1970, The Agricultural Cooperative Federation of Thailand, Ltd. (ACFT) partnered with The Agricultural Co-operative Federation of Japan (ZEN-NOH) to establish T.J.C. Chemical Co., Ltd. The company operates a factory producing pesticides and agricultural inputs for cooperatives, members, and farmers in general. The Agricultural Co-operative Federation of Thailand, Ltd. (ACFT) is a union of provincial-level cooperatives from across the country, aiming to conduct business in production, commerce, services, and industry for the benefit of its cooperative members and farmers, while also providing welfare and technical assistance to its members.
The 7th Decade: Vision for Cooperatives to Keep Pace with the World
Mr. Sirichai Orsuwan, President of the Board of Directors of The Agricultural Co-operative Federation of Thailand, Ltd. (ACFT) and National Outstanding Cooperative Leader for 2014, envisions The Agricultural Co-operative Federation of Thailand, Ltd. (ACFT) becoming a world-class organization that helps Thai agricultural cooperatives keep pace with global trends and future changes.
The Thai Cooperative Rice Center was an initiative of Mr. Sirichai Orsuwan, approved by President of ACFT, to collect high-quality rice from cooperatives nationwide. The center provides a marketing channel and service for members and the general public to access quality rice that meets cooperative standards. This initiative also supports cooperative farmers who are members.
